Male Pelvic Health

Pelvic pain affects men, just like women, but unfortunately it is not as commonly discussed in the public and medical community. Men have pelvic floors as well made up of a group of muscles that run from the pubic bone in the front, to the coccyx in the back. These muscles are skeletal muscles that may become weak or tight, or inflamed for multiple reasons, causing male pelvic pain. It may have occurred from a specific incidence or from something that developed over time. Some frequently seen cases include pelvic floor muscle weakness or tightness, nerve dysfunction, urinary urgency or frequency, erectile dysfunction, post surgical complications, post cancer treatment and constipation. We will determine the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular involvement affecting or causing your discomfort in order to relieve your symptoms and restore an improved quality of life. At Inner Dynamics Physical Therapy, we have highly qualified doctor of physical therapy clinicians that perform an initial evaluation to determine an effective, individualized plan of care to address your primary concerns and symptoms.  Your physical therapist will take the time to discuss all the findings throughout the exam and how we can work together to restore your well-being.
